Business model

Data Patterns (India) designs, develops, manufactures and supports defence and aerospace electronics: radars, electronic warfare suites, communications, avionics, BrahMos seeker electronics and automatic test equipment, out of a single Chennai (SIPCOT Siruseri) facility of about 200,000 sq ft and 600 boards/day EMS capacity. It reports one segment and had no subsidiaries at 31 March 2026, so standalone is the business; the ST Advanced Composites acquisition (about 10cr, SPA signed 25 Aug 2026) is not yet shown completed and is immaterial. Customers are DRDO labs, defence PSUs (BEL, HAL), the services and the IMD; three major customers took 509cr of 925cr FY26 revenue. Revenue mixes production, development and services (FY26 58%/37%/5%); development contracts build IP that later yields repeat production orders. The company controls design and manufacturing but not award timing, customer inspection or acceptance, which management repeatedly cites for slippage.
