About BSE

BSE Limited, also known as the Bombay Stock Exchange, operates India's premier stock exchange platform based in Mumbai. Founded in 1875, BSE is Asia's oldest stock exchange and facilitates trading across a comprehensive range of asset classes including equities, currencies, debt instruments, derivatives, and mutual funds. The exchange serves as a critical infrastructure for India's capital markets, enabling price discovery and liquidity across various financial instruments. BSE operates multiple trading platforms and indices, most notably the S&P BSE SENSEX, which measures overall market performance. The company also manages specialized segments including its SME platform for emerging companies and has expanded into international markets through India INX, established in GIFT City. As a publicly listed entity on its own exchange, BSE plays a central role in India's financial ecosystem by connecting investors, issuers, and intermediaries while maintaining regulatory compliance under the Securities and Exchange Board of India.
