Business model

Tejas designs optical transport, GPON/broadband access, IP/MPLS routers and 4G/5G RAN, makes them through EMS partners and sells to Indian carriers, BharatNet, utilities and overseas operators. Revenue is project-lumpy: FY25 revenue of 8,923cr came from 100,000 BSNL 4G sites shipped through TCS (TCS 82% of FY25 revenue), then fell to 1,103cr in FY26 when the project ended and follow-on awards slipped. Tejas controls the product IP (about 68% of 2,229 staff in R&D) but not the timing: BSNL site readiness and TCS as prime contractor decide when it ships and when it is paid. One reportable segment; no wireless/wireline split is disclosed [GP6].
