Business model

Solar Industries is an integrated supplier of explosives, initiating systems and blasting services. The product is a consumable per tonne of rock moved, so overburden ratios matter as much as coal output. Local plants, magazines and PESO permissions reduce logistics cost and create incumbent advantage. Domestic explosives revenue FY26 was 3,343 cr, international explosives 3,815 and defence 2,634. Defence products (Pinaka rockets, 155mm ammunition, Nagastra, warheads, counter-drone systems) sit in subsidiaries. The statutory segment note reports only one segment; the management customer/business splits are KPIs, not statutory segments.
